BIO:
Evangeline Cachinero is a multidisciplinary artist who uses a wide variety of materials and technologies to create physical and digital installations and abstract narrative works. She is happy to use any medium that helps actualise her ideas, working just as freely with traditional materials as she does with AI.
Her work brings many elements and styles together into cohesive, hybrid installations that blur reality and fiction to reflect the multiplicity and shifting conditions of our time. Her approach is critical yet playful, engaging with the conventions of contemporary art and questioning belief systems about art and life itself in ways that test and subvert them.
Born in Australia, Cachinero spent much of her childhood between Spain and the United States. She is currently based in Melbourne, Australia.
